Day 1
Welcome to Japan! We will have transportation services to take you to your hotel. Please refer to your tour handbook for more information.

Day 2

We start your private Japan tour off with a peaceful stroll through the historic Kiyosumi Garden. Built in the Meiji Period, the thousands of trees and seasonal flora will leave you forgetting that you are indeed in the one of the largest metropolitan cities in the world. Afterwards, we learn more about Tokyo’s past at the Fukagawa Edo Museum where you can find a life size recreation of what Tokyo was like during the Edo Period.


We then head to the Tsukiji Outer Fish Market and see what once was part of the largest wholesale fish market in the world was has to offer. You will finish your morning with a proper teppan-yaki meal with the world-famous premium wagyu beef as the main course.


Our final stop will take us to the historical Asakusa Sensoji Temple before heading back to the hotel.

Day 3

Our first stop of the day will have us heading to the magnificent Imperial Palace Plaza - the East Gardens; an oasis of calm in the urban heart of Tokyo.


We will make our way to the bustling streets of Shibuya where you will find a panoramic view of Tokyo from Shibuya Sky as well as the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing and the Hachiko Statue.


Continuing on, the swanky and trendy Omotesando and Harajuku Takeshita Street await where you can find eclectic fashion trends and boutiques alongside popular treats for those who have a sweet tooth.


A short walk over and we find ourselves at the culturally important Meiji Shrine where you can find nature and history blend together. We finish our day exploring the fashionable Kagurazaka district for some shopping

Day 4

We spend the day making our way inland towards Takayama. A thrilling bullet train ride will take you Matsumoto where we will be visiting the intimidating Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan’s oldest existing castles. With it’s all black exterior, the structure gives of an air of grandeur and poise meant to ward off any invaders.

Day 5

The Kamikochi area awaits us where you will find majestic mountains and clear waters surround you as you explore the area.


We arrive in Takayama with our first stop being the historic, well preserved Takayama Old Town. With many of the structures built during the Edo Period, take a look at what life was like strolling through Takayama in the 19th century.

Day 6

The first half of our day will be spent exploring more of Takayama as we visit the bustling Morning Market where locals can find freshly picked produce and snacks.


Our last stop in Takayama will be the Yatai Kaikan where you can find impressive floats that are used during the Takayama Festival, considered one of the three most beautiful festivals in Japan.


We then head to Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the unique thatch roofed houses where you can get a taste of a truly rural village atmosphere.

Day 7

Your group will make its way to Kanazawa with the first destination considered to be one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, Kenrokuen Garden. Marvel the landscape and scenery at this truly magnificent site.


We then take a relaxing stroll through the Higashi Chaya District where you can sip on freshly made matcha or green tea and snack on traditional Japanese sweets. The famous Ohmicho Ichiba will also surely spark your appetite as we browse through the local market also known as Kanazawa’s Kitchen due to its size.


We end the day enjoying unique works of art at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art where you can find truly one of a kind, immersive art pieces that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

Day 8

Our Kyoto adventure begins in Arashiyama where you will enjoy a rickshaw ride through the peaceful bamboo forest for a unique experience.

We continue with a visit to the Golden Pavilion, a stunning building famous for its gold leaf covered exterior.


After a delicious kaiten sushi lunch, partake in a quintessentially traditional Japanese experience. We learn to make a cup of matcha via the traditional tea ceremony that Japanese culture is known for. Be sure to explore the charming Ninenzaka area where you can find traditional goods and sweets.


Our last stop before heading back to the hotel will be the impressive Kiyomizu Temple, famous for its large veranda which offers a panoramic view of Kyoto.

Day 9

We begin the day at the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, home of the thousand torii gate tunnel and is a sight to behold as you stroll through one of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan.


For a special dining experience, enjoy lunch as you spectate a Maiko performance as well as a rare chance to interact and take pictures.


Our next destination will lead us to Nara for a visit to the ancient Todaiji Temple where the giant buddha statue will surely leave a lasting impression. While there, we will also take a detour to the famous Deer Park where you can feed and hang out with the nationally protected divine deer.


We end our day back in Kyoto where you can opt to enjoy a colorful lightshow displayed on the staircase of Kyoto station.

Day 10
Your pleasant and memorable Japan tour ends today. The tour will disband after breakfast. Fly home with cherished memories or enjoy your extended stay in Japan. Breakfast
