I would recommend this tour to any family with an otaku

Best place visited on the tour: Sanju Sangen do - Forest of Buddha - gorgeous and spiritual + the Kyoto Skyline

Best experience you had in Japan: Seeing my daughter feed the deer in Nara Park! Tea Ceremony, Yukata & traditional Japanese dinner, Ghibli Museum

Want to visit again: Covered Market in Osaka or Tokyo
I would recommend this tour to any family with an "otaku" kid - it is an aggressive schedule, but there's no other way to see so much - my daughter is very sad it is ending today. Pre-tour we went to Osaka Universal Studios
Post-tour we'll stay in Tokyo, go back to Akihabara, Disneyland & Disney Sea & explore more in Odaiba - also visit Kappabashi Street and Tsukiji Fish Market.

1. How would you rate the accommodations? (Comfort, cleanliness, location)

Excellent

We had western beds - I expected a small Ryokan instead of Hamanako Royal Hotel, but wondered if I'd survive a tatamai mat for a night - was happy for the bed!

2. What did you think about the food? (Taste, variety)

Excellent

We received a variety of different Japanese dishes, including beef, but also had a chance to eat on our own often enough to try what suited us.

3. Was the tour guide helpful? (Knowledge, communication, attitude)

Excellent

She had a warm and genuine personality - loved her! Also, wearing "Luffy's" hat mad her so easy to spot! I don't know how she kept us all together, but she did! She's very organized - loved getting a schedule of the day every morning.

4. How would you rate the sightseeing spots we have visited? (Favorite place, least favorite)

Excellent

There was a mix of "high" culture like shrine and museums, but also "pop" culture like Akihabara & Harajuku, a wonderful mix for a family traveling together - we were drawn to the Anime/Manga part which the kids adored, but the parents were so happy with the rest.
