Tokyo Disney Sea opened it's doors in 2001 next to the famous Tokyo Disneyland. Within 307 days of opening, Tokyo Disney Sea was already able to attract over 10 million guests. Ranked the 4th most visited theme-park in 2013 with more than 14 million visitors, Disney Sea is designed to attract an older group of Disney fans while still being a family-friendly park.

Like its neighbor Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea also has seven themed-lands referred to as ports:

 • Mediterranean Harbor - Based on an Italian port town, this part features Venice-style canals and gondolas. Located by the entrance, enjoy one of the shows held daily in the harbor featuring boats and water fountains.
 • Mystery Island - Based on science fiction and the depths of the ocean, this area features a volcano in the center of the park and offers attractions exploring the unknown with Captain Nemo.
 • Mermaid Lagoon - Based on the world of The Little Mermaid, enter the whimiscal world under the sea where Ariel, Flounder, and the rest of the mermaids await.
 • Arabian Coast - Based on the adventures of Aladdin enjoy a magical show by Genie or travel with Sinbad in this Arabian themed port.
 • Lost River Delta - Based on the ancient temple pyramids of Central America, the Indiana Jones Adventure Ride explores the temple ruins. After exploring the temple, the Raging Spirits Roller Coaster next door. This is also the hub for the Tokyo DisneySea Transit Steamers for access between both parks.
 • Port Discovery - Based on the marina of the future, guests can explore the sea life with their friends from Finding Nemo or discover the world of Aquatopia.
 • American Waterfront - Based on the 20th century harbors around New York and the East Coast, this American-styled harbor has a charming array of restaurants and shops, and is home to the Tower of Terror.

Disney Adventure Under the Sea

Disney Adventure Under the Sea

In hopes to attract an older crowd than Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea offers more thrilling roller coasters and alcoholic drinks unavailable outside the park. Much like the special snacks exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland, the beverages at Disney Sea are both super cute and delicious. Among the list of drinks, we recommend The Sparkling Cocktail, Beer Cocktail (Pomegranate Syrup, Sour White, Pineapple), Frozen Citrus Cocktail, Singapore Sling, or the Tres Frutas Cocktail Set. While there are alcoholic beverages, Disney Sea also includes special snacks and meals you won't find next door. The park also offers a larger selection of table service for Japan's growing foodie population, unlike Tokyo Disneyland. Guests from Japan and around the world can agree, Tokyo Disney Sea is the perfect mix for everyone in the family to enjoy. If you want to visit Tokyo Disney Sea after a Japan Tour with us, we can happily arrange it during a post or pre-stay in Tokyo! We can also arrange a day visiting theme parks on an unforgettable custom Japan tour for a luxury Asia trip you won't forget. Come explore Tokyo and reunite with Mickey, Mini, Goofy, and the rest of the Disney gang at Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea!
