Kagawa Olive Park | Japan's First Olive Cultivation

Olive Park is an olive grove located on Shodoshima of Kagawa. Shodoshima itself is known as Olive Island for being the first place in Japan to grow olives and being the nation's top olive producer. Olive Park is where olives were first successfully cultivated on the island in 1908. The park has several features including a walking path that takes you through the hillside where olives are grown. Visitors should also visit the museum where they can learn about the history of olive cultivation and enjoy interesting olive products such as olive ice cream and olive noodles at the restaurant.
