Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway takes you to the top of Mt. Komagatake, commanding a view of Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Mt. Futago and mountains of the distant Izu Peninsula. Cable cars travel the 720m long ropeway in 5 minutes. The summit is 1,327m high. At the western base of the mountain lies the Hakone Picnic Garden. The grassy hills offer ideal picnicking with gardens of alpine plants, wild azalea & rhododendrons at many places.
