Dual Wielding Kirito channels his inner Miyamoto Musashi
in this Awesome Collaboration!
Sword Art Online's Kirito, Asuna, and Alice will be taking over Kitakyuhsu's Kokura Castle in Fukuoka Prefecture for this awesome collaboration to promote the reopening of Kokura Castle! The heroes are dressed in traditional clothing in the style of historical figures Miyamoto Musashi, Sasaki KojirÅ, and Hosokawa Gracia, all who share ties to Kokura Castle. Kirito's dual wielding style is said to have been the inspiration to this collab, as the real life Musashi was the pioneer of dual wielding Katana's or nitoryu. Kokura Castle currently serves as a museum after being rebuilt due to fires and combat. The historic samurai castle is reopening and the cast of Sword Art Online wants to make sure you spend your next vacation with them in Fukuoka!
The collaboration event runs from March 30 to May 6 with photo-shoot areas, limited-edition goods & merchandise, and a two-day stage show. The castle will also be hosting their Sakura Festival which will include cosplayers dressed as Kirito and Asuna in the collaboration's official costumes.
