The Making and History of Toyota

The Toyota Techno Museum opened in June 1994 in Nishio, Nagoya as a museum dedicated to the history of the Toyota company. Established as a joint venture between the Toyota Group, the museum focuses on the history of Toyota from it's early days as a textile company to the internationally-known automobile producer they are today. Housed in the old red-brick textile factory where Sakichi Toyoda once worked on researching and developing looms, the museum is filled with different exhibits ranging from a textile machinery museum, automobile display area, and techno land.

The textile area showcases exhibits on the Toyota companies origins as a textile industry. Browse through unique products, goods, and equipment used from the earliest days of the auto-motor company. In the automobile display area, Toyota shows off the process to making their cars from start to finish. There's also a small area featuring classic, vintage Toyota models. For those with children, the Techno Land is a great place to enjoy interactive activities related to automobiles and driving. Toyota also has their Toyota Kaikan Museum and Toyota Automobile Museum nearby for those interested in learning more about Toyota cars and production.

Toyota continues to be one of the world's leading automakers in the world, having their cars featured in Hollywood Movies, dramas, and even anime and manga's like Initial D. Explore the fascinating history of Toyota at the Toyota Techno Museum during your next vacation with Japan Deluxe Tours!
