Cherry blossoms are expected to bloom earlier than normal in many places in 2024. The cherry blossoms are expected to bloom in western and eastern Japan in late March, with the northern Tohoku region beginning to bloom in early April, and the cherry blossom front reaching Hokkaido in mid-April.


Please refer to our chart which has the expected blossoming dates for each major city, along with estimates as to when the best time to see the cherry blossoms will be. Please keep in consideration that cherry blossom season is very fickle, and depending on the weather and temperature, the dates could be pushed forward or back. Japan Deluxe Tours will attempt to continually update our cherry blossom forecast page to provide tour participants and travelers with the most accurate predictions.
