Founded in 1885 in Yamanashi, Lumiere Winery is a testament to Japanese wine production. The winery produces some of the highest quality wines in Japan, with an impressive array of awards from various European Wine Competitions. You can sample these award-winning wines at the vineyard's tasting room after a tour through the vineyard, or purchase a bottle or two at the gift-store located in the vineyard. The quality of the wine is credited to the rigorous process to select only the best grapes. All grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, with only the best used in the wines. Expect incredible quality and delectable flavors when visiting Yamanashi's Lumiere Winery!
You can also sample various wines at the incredible Restaurant Zelkova. The menu is preset and rotates each month, but always provide an excellent pairing with the vineyard's wines. The chefs at Zelkova only use the freshest, seasonal ingredients that match the flavors and bring out the best of the wines.
Japan Deluxe Tours highly recommends adding a day at Lumiere Winery after your vacation ends in Tokyo with our affordable day trips and add-on's. Customize or extend your Japan tour to sample the best Japanese wines in Yamanashi with Mt. Fuji's beauty in the distance!
