Osaka's Best Aquarium | Travel Through the Underwater Tunnel

Kaiyukan Aquarium is an 8-story aquarium in Osaka, near Osaka Bay. The aquarium holds approximately 29,000 animals and 470 species and was named the best aquarium in Asia. Kaiyukan’s most popular mammal is the sea otter. The sea otters here are especially known for their surprised eyes, white eyelids, and long eyebrows. Another popular feature of Kaiyukan is its Aqua Gate, a 36ft long tunnel-shaped tank that allows its guests to feel like they are walking underwater, surrounded by mammals including the Cownose ray. The aquarium even has an area where you can interact with different species.

Considered one of the top aquariums in Japan, add the Kaiyukan to your Japan Tour's itinerary with our pre or post stay options. You can also customize a Private Tour Package to include the museum and the rest of Osaka's top rated attractions and destinations during your tailor-made vacation.
