Located on the 5th floor of AQUA CiTY ODAIBA in Tokyo's popular Odaiba, the Tokyo Ramen Kokugikan Mai is an establishment dedicated to promoting the various styles of Japanese ramen noodles. There are six restaurants, each representing a different region of Japan. The list includes: Sapporo, Saitama, Nagoya, Nagano, and Tokyo. Each restaurant includes a regional specialty dish unavailable at other branches to set them each apart. Depending on the type of ramen you prefer, you can go to the restaurant of the region, or try something new with each visit to become more of a ramen connoisseur. The name Kokugikan traditionally refers to the venue for sumo matches, but at the Tokyo Ramen Kokugikan, it's intended as a battle between ramen.
When dining at the Tokyo Ramen Kokugikan Mai, guests can select from six amazing ramen shops well-known around all Japan. Whether you are a fan of Sapporo's Miso Ramen, or prefer the thinner noodles of Hakata Tonkotsu ramen. There's also Tsukemen, which is somewhat of a cross between Shabu-shabu and ramen. No matter the style, each restaurant was carefully chosen due to the high-quality flavors and dedication from each ramen chef.
Becoming a global phenomena, sample the ramen from each region to decide which reigns supreme on your tour's free day in Tokyo during Japan Deluxe Tour's fully guided line of Cherry Blossom Vacations & Highlights Japan Tours.
