Sumida Aquarium is a beautiful modern design aquarium in the Tokyo SkyTree Town complex. The aquarium is located on the 5th and 6th floors of Tokyo Solamachi. Sumida Aquarium is best known for its 350 thousand liter tank centerpiece, the largest open indoor tank in Japan. The large clear tank houses various penguins and seals. The large centerpiece is especially among visitors for it allows for viewing from all angles. From the two story atrium space, visitors can get a great aerial view of the tank. Besides the large centerpiece, the aquarium also features a jellyfish display and four tanks containing alluring coral reefs. Sumida Aquarium also features three kinds of labs where visitors can examine and learn more in depth about various types of species including jellyfish, sea anemone, coral, and tide pools. Sumida Aquarium is a great place to stop by when visiting Tokyo Skytree.
